We recorded this podcast a little while ago before I left for a short out-of-communication holiday. So this dates to before the recent riots. We will talk about them, I feel sure, in the coming weeks.
In this podcast we wanted to respond to some comments that came in after our podcast “Swing Right or Reject the Centre”.
The discussion ranges over what effect, if any, first past the post would have on our political system, why there is so much popular discontent and whether or not the discontent should be dismissed as just so much right wing racism. Or if there are issues that have been so ignored that at least some of the discontent should be seen as what happens when those in the political centre ground refuse to engage with issues they prefer to ignore and declare verboten.
Lastly we look briefly at American debt and what that might mean for the health of the Dollar.
